Where verification is conducted with respect to an individual, such verification will initially be attempted by electronic means. The individual will receive an email containing a link to a secure web form, where that individual will be requested to provide their Standard Verification Information (see Individual verification process) together with a photo of an “Identity Document”.

Electronic verification process

  1. The Standard Verification Information will be checked against the Verification Sources (see Verification sources) in accordance with your Match Settings (see Verification settings):

    • If the check fails against your Match Settings (see Verification settings) with respect to the individual’s name or date of birth, the individual will be requested to re-undertake electronic verification (see Electronic verification) with an alternative Identity Document:

      • If the subsequent verification attempt also fails, manual identity verification (see Manual verification) will be initiated.

    • If the check fails against your Match Settings (see Verification settings) with respect to the individual’s residential address, manual address verification (see Manual verification) will be initiated.

  2. if your Biometric Settings (see Verification settings) require biometric processing, the biometric image of the individual is checked to verify that the individual submitting the Identity Document is the same individual pictured on the Identity Document and that the submission is taking place in real-time:

    • If the check fails, this will be flagged for your attention.

  3. the Identity Document is checked for signs of tampering or forgery:

    • If the check failsthis will be flagged for your attention.
